From about 15 years ago, here are (from left) me, Jennifer (Money) Crisp, Brandon Scott Thomas, Melissa (Portell) Kirby, Stefano "Nino" Elliott, and Alison (Money) Elliott. Obviously I am saying or singing something completely riveting. Jennifer is listening. Brandon and Melissa are either asleep or praying I won't do something embarrassing. Nino, on the other hand was more productive in that he is apparently flirting with the girl he would later marry. Speaking of that, this picture (I think) was taken at Camp Blue Haven where I had previously met the girl I would later marry. I think that is important to mention since I look rather gay. Oh to go back to a time where Guess overalls were in style (was there ever really such a time?) and tapered rolled up jeans were at home in the land of rompers and poofy hair. I'm laughing now, but all of that will be back within about ten years.

Too Cute....
Nice picture. I have to agree with your assessment...you do look rather light in the loafers there.
Of course no telling what we might find it we posted a picture of me from 15 years ago.
See, this is why I continue to check your blog on a regular basis. I'm strolling down memory lane laughing with a mixture of joy and embarassment.
You've made my day!
Oh my....what a photo....
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!! I am rolling on the floor laughing. Stephen Bailey and I are on the phone---he called and told me to go look. OMGOODNESS!!!!!!!!! and...nice overalls. This made my entire week. OH MY GOODNESS. HILARIO!
Is that what gay looks like?
Dang, I've always wondered ....
I love it. What style. Brandon's sweater is awful.
excuse me? I'd like to point out that I at least didn't continue wearing it for the next 8 years--unlike the one sweater vest that your friends had FRAMED and put in your office.
Where is there a GOOD sweater in that picture? I always thought Allison was the pinnacle of fashion, and probably had complete sweater-and-big-hair-envy at the time, but that sweater looks like it should be waving at a Nascar race.
Wednesday's post at boomama.blogspot.com was about the return of 80's fashion (I think this picture was in the 90's, but it looks all the same)and how bad, bad, bad it was the first time! YIKES! And we had all forgotten about Guess? overalls! But there were a few comments about how cool we thought we were when we tight-rolled our jeans like Nino did. And the poufy rompers? Never had one of those, either, and I GRIEVED at the time (and now I am SO thankful there is not a photo of me in one for anyone to post on the internet!)
My favorite is that I distinctly recall having conversations with friends as we looked at our parents' ridiculous hairstyles in the 60's and said, "NOTHING we're doing now will look THAT stupid!" Ah, the innocence of youth.
not that there is anything wrong with being gay.
Val--I laughed really hard. Your comments were great.
