Otay. Good job on "Promise." Now for today's theme:

Good luck.

Air Supply! Holy Cow I forgot all about them. Great song by the way. Thanks Karen.

I have two obvious ones:
The Telephone Song - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Why Don't That Telephone Ring - Tracy Byrd

Peace,
Kim

How about "Operator" by Jim Croce ("Operator, would help me place this call")?

And let's go back to 1971 for "Rings" by Reeves and Harvey, recorded by Cymarron ("Ring ring telephone ring / Somebody said 'Baby, whatcha doin'?'")!

It's Me Again, Margaret (Well, there once was a feller named Willard McVane / And he only had just one thought on his brain / Every evening 'round midnight he'd sneak off alone / And call the same lady on a pay telephone)

Shriner's Convention(.....You have embarrassed us all, the whole Hahira Delegation! Now I'll see you at the banquet tonight, son. And you be there Coy, you hear me? Black tie! Seven o'clock! Be there! And Coy, don't answer the phone, ....)

It doesn't matter where or
When there's trouble
If ya just call my name
Kim Possible
Call me, beep me if ya
Wanna reach me
When ya wanna page me it's okay
I just can't wait until I hear
My cell PHONE ring
Doesn't matter if it's day or night
Everything's gonna be alright
Whenever you need me baby
Call me, beep me if ya
wanna reach me!

I have a 7 year old girl, what do you expect?

Nanci Griffith's "Drive-in Movies and Dashboard Lights" says..."the telephone rang, it drove Mother insane from the hearts left on the shelf..."

Alabama's "Roll On" has at least 3 mentions of the phone..."momma's waitin' by the phone.....she hung up the phone singin'.....thinkin' nothing but the words just comin' with the ringin' of the telephone..."

Trisha Yearwood's "XXX's & OOO's" starts out with "Phone rings, baby cries, TV diet guru lies..."

Amy Grant's got at least 3 phone songs. "Missing You", "If You Have to Go Away", and "Leave it All Behind."

My favorite telephone song is Oleta Adams' "I Just Had to Hear Your Voice." What an amazing voice!

And Val, your Searcy fan club played quite a bit of Klymaxx's "I Miss You" back in the day! :) "...every time the phone rings, I pray to God it's you."

I love this game.
