Somethings Fishy

Okay. Today's theme is FISH.

And, to make it more fair for everyone, I thought about making the "one song per entry" rule, but in deference to Stephanie we'll make it two. If you want to enter more than once, that is fine but allow some time for others to play.

Good luck!

Oh I lobster and never flounder.
Her wrapped his arms around her and they drove off in his carp
Oh I lobster and never flounder
I octopus his face in- he'll only break her heart

You know I kelp a picture of her in my walleye and she kelp one of me in her perch...

And so on... On old novelty country tune.

Well I love her
But I love to fish
I spend all day out on this lake
And hell is all I catch
Today she met me at the door
Said I would have to choose
If I hit that fishin' hole today
She'd be packin' all her things
And she'd be gone by noon

Well I'm gonna miss her
When I get home
But right now I'm on this lakeshore
And I'm sittin' in the sun
I'm sure it'll hit me
When I walk through that door tonight
That I'm gonna miss her
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite

Now there's a chance that if I hurry
I could beg her to stay
But that water's right
And the weather's perfect
No tellin' what I might catch today

Well I'm gonna miss her
When I get home
But right now I'm on this lakeshore
And I'm sittin' in the sun
I'm sure it'll hit me
When I walk through that door tonight
That I'm gonna miss her
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite

Yeah, I'm gonna miss her
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite

Black Water- Doobie Brothers

Well, I built me a raft and she's ready for floatin'
Ol' Mississippi, she's callin' my name
Catfish are jumpin'
That paddle wheel thumpin'
Black water keeps rollin' on past just the same

I love all of the entries, but I gotta say, Craig Fisher's entry really cracked me up.

I also like "I Lobster and Never Flounder." Perhaps one of these days we'll do a novelty song syposium. Both because I kinda like novelty songs and I rarely find the opportunity to use the word symposium.
